ByrdSong

Based on bird calls, mixed with William Byrd’s ‘Pavane, The Earle of Salisbury’.

Veni, Redemptor Gentium

Meditation on the oldest Christmas hymn ever written. ‘Hymn’ refers to the text, and ‘written’ literally means ‘written down’.

Resurgam (formerly ‘Postlude for Mechanical Action’)

Used as title music in early videos, recorded at Wells Cathedral.

PlaneSong

Meditation on Ave Verum Corpus (plainsong), recorded near RAF Prize Norton, Oxfordshire

Septimus

Wedding piece based on Widor’s Toccata, transposed to F Minor.

At Eventide it shall be Light

Composed from a scrap of sheet music under the organ bench at Ayshford Chapel, Devon. I completed the score and merged it with ‘Veni Emmanuel’.

Dreaming

Background music to my ‘walking’ scenes. You’ll hear it in almost every video, recorded on a portable harmonium.

Ode ‘To a Friendless Church’

Written for a broken organ at St Mary’s Church, Long Crichel. The church is cared for by the Friends of Friendless Churches.

At Peace

Written as committal music at a funeral.

Godman’s Farm

Elegy on the Missa de Angelis (a Plainsong Mass), recorded at Godmanstone, Dorset.

Christmas Lullaby

Recorded at St Mary’s Church, Lover.
